Bandos is a beautiful coral island with a total land area of 178,900 square meters, covered with lush tropical vegetation, numerous palm trees, surrounded by a wide sandy beach and the crystal clear waters of an azure lagoon. The island owns one of the best house reefs, just 40 – 60 meters away from the beach. Opened on 10th December 1972 as the second tourist resort in the Maldives with 225 rooms.

There are 3 different room types; Standard, Junior Suite and Suite, all air-conditioned, attached bath rooms with hot and cold water, IDD Telephones and Digital Safes. Junior Suites and Suites have a separate sitting area and a bath tub. TV and tea / coffee making facilities are available in Suite rooms. Bandos has the widest range of sports facilities available anywhere in the country.
